ČSOB brings a new SmartPay application for contactless payments using NFC technology. If you meet the below specified requirements, you can start using SmartPay right today.
CSOB SmartPay will be further enhanced upon the suggestions and requirements of its users.
You can virtually add your MasterCard payment card by CSOB Slovakia into the application and pay contactless for any purchase using the NFC technology. You always confirm the payment by your PIN.
You can view the history of mobile payments directly in the application.
One payment card you can use also in several mobile phones provided you use the same user profile of the application on those devices.
Activation and use of the CSOB SmartPay application is free of charge.
What a mobile phone do you need?
• Any mobile phone with operating system Android 5.1 or higher, with support of NFC technology,
• Mobile phone has the internet connection.
Without any internet connection you can execute maximum 10 payments. After the device is connected to the internet again, the number of available payments is renewed to 10 payments.
Who can use CSOB SmartPay?
• All CSOB Slovakia clients with valid MasterCard payment card with 3D Secure technology
Are mobile payments and applications safe?
• Yes, neither payment cards, nor data from payment cards are saved in mobile device
• The payment is verified by online authorization using encrypted communication
• Your mPIN protects all mobile payments, therefore no „accidental“ unconfirmed payment is possible even after direct placing of the mobile phone to the payment terminal.
